The International Road Transport Union (IRU) is the world road transport organisation, which upholds the interests of bus, coach, taxi and truck operators to ensure economic growth and prosperity via the sustainable mobility of people and goods by road worldwide.
MKFE launched its new Business Portal in order to support its members to use high quality internet platform for networking. The new design and structure also allows visitors to explore professional articels, news and contents about road transport industry.

Membership

MKFE is integrating more than 3000+ members who represent a significant part of the Hungarian Road transport industry. The membership is constituted by road haulier companies, and passenger transport service providers.

The membership in terms of international freight destinations covers the whole Western and Eastern European region and extending its services to Asia, North Africa, and Russia.

Dr. Zoltan Vereczkey - Chairman


Dr. Vereczkey was born in 1954, Budapest.

He has a degree in law and is a chartered accountant. He worked for 10 years at Volan Tefu and held a leading position at Duna Volan of Pest County from 1986 until he became the managing director of Volan in 1999.

Mr. vereczkey holds many other offices:

  • Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pest County
  • Vice-president of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  • Member of the Hungarian Olympic Committee
  • Member of the Hungarian Water Polo Association


Miklós Mihály Áchim -
Co-President, Chairman of the Council of Hauliers

 

Mr. Áchim has a BSc in mechanical engineering.

He has been an active and important member of the Hungarian transportation industry since 1979.

He is the owner and CEO of his company ÁCHIM and ÁCHIM Ltd.

 


Zoltán Pencz -
Co-President, President of the Passenger Transport Committee

 
 Mr. Pencz has a BS in traffic engineering.

 He has been working in the passenger transport industry since 1991.

 He is the owner and CEO of his company Tűzpenge Ltd.


Gábor Karmos - Secretary General

 

Mr. Karmos was born in 1962 in Pécs. He received his diploma from the Technical University of Budapest where he also taught.

According to his own words he is a professional representative of interests. He was appointed Secretary General of MKFE in April 2010 previously having held the position of Deputy Secretary General.

He is a person of wide-ranging interests, actively taking part in transport codification. His main object is to improve the competitiveness of local hauliers.
